Fuel Up to Play 60 Launches ‘For the Love of Play’ Campaign

We couldn’t be more excited about the latest Fuel Up to Play 60 Campaign! ‘For the Love of Play’ combines all of our favorite things: physical activity, social media, and Fuel Up to Play 60. Through the use of “healthy selfies,” FUTP60 is challenging students to get active with 60 minutes (or more!) of exercise a day, and to share their selfies using the hashtag #LoveOfPlay on social media; tag and challenge others to participate, and you’ll automatically be entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win NFL prizes.


How to Get Involved

If you are a student, make sure you are logging in to your FUTP60 dashboard to record your activity—you earn points for a chance to win amazing prizes!

If you are a parent, learn more about how your child can join the Fuel Up to Play 60 team. Then, check out how you can enter to win a Day of Play with Indianapolis Colts starting quarterback Andrew Luck. To enter Day of Play with Andrew Luck, share a game you play with your family—that you’ve invented yourselves—to enter to win, as well as daily chances to win a $50 NFLShop.com online gift card.

If you are an educator, make sure you check out the latest physical activity plays, and then visit Let’s Move! Active Schools and register to get access to helpful resources for healthy, fun tips that will benefit students. You’ll find the latest activity plays in the 2014-15 Playbook, which includes a mix of physical activity and—our favorite!—school breakfast plays for students.

Fuel Up to Play 60 Rules

If you aren’t yet a Fuel Up to Play 60 school, you’ll need to enroll—complete the six-step enrollment process to become a Touchdown School, and join the healthy movement with other Fuel Up to Play 60 schools across the country.

Official rules for the Fuel Up to Play 60 For Love of the Play can be found online; here are some of the important details:

  • The contest is open to U.S. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram users who are 13 years or older, and who: post an image or video of themselves being physically active AND use the hashtag #LoveOfPlay in their post.  Requirements must be met between 9/9/14 and 10/17/14.
  • Winners will be notified on or around 10/20/14.
  • There will be fifteen total winners, selected at random, who will receive one $25 online discount code to NFLShop.com. Five randomly selected winners will be selected on each of the three social media platforms of entry—Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

More Fuel Up to Play 60 Opportunities

Don’t forget that you still have time to apply for Fuel Up to Play 60 funds! Between now and November 5, 2014, you can apply to receive up to $4000 in FUTP60 funds for your school. You must be enrolled in Fuel Up to Play 60, and the National School Lunch Program; your school must also have a registered Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Advisor.
