Notes from LAC 2011

My first LAC has been an eye-opener. I cannot express how grateful I am to have had this opportunity to see, listen and talk to experts in the field of school nutrition. I am also grateful to all of you who expressed excitement about the Partners for Breakfast in the Classroom project and the Beyond Breakfast blog. You were generous with your time and your expertise and I am very excited to keep in touch and keep learning from you.

I have a full notebook but even more so, I have a full heart. How could I not? I am surrounded by more than 800 people who live to feed kids. I am inspired!

We have a lot to share with all of you so please, stay tuned and check back often!

A high point was meeting Ed Bruske. Here I am with Ed, and Elizabeth Campbell, senior project manager for the SNF.

Learn more about Ed Bruske on his website, which I read faithfully. I love his writing and his message.

President William Jefferson Clinton addresses the School Nutrition Association, March 7, 2011.
