The Healthy Schools Campaign advocates for policies and practices that allow teachers, students and staff to learn and work in a healthy environment. The Chicago-based organization recently reached out to the School Nutrition Association’s Danny Seymour, dean of education, to talk about breakfast in the classroom.
In his interview Danny discusses the importance of breakfast in the classroom programs, and talks about the positive impact that breakfast in the classroom has on students, and the overall classroom atmosphere: “We know nutrition supports everything we do, whether we’re children or adults. We need to afford that to our children so they have a good start academically so they’re ready to achieve and be successful in every area that they can.”
